About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover Jun is expressed in the epidermis of a Drosophila embryo during dorsal closure. A whole-mount preparation of a Drosophila embryo in the final stages of dorsal closure was stained for Jun expression {red nuclear fluorescence) and for corracle protein (green fluorescence outlining the elongated epidermal cells). The last dorsal opening is about to close. Images were taken on the EMBL confocal microscope. (For details, see Kockel et al., p. 1748. For related papers, see Riesgo-Escovar and Hafen, p. 1717; Hou et al., p. 1728; and Glise and Noselli, p. 1738.)
