About the Cover

Cover Figure

ROTUNDIFOLIA3 encodes a novel cytochrome P-450 family member required for the polar elongation of Arabidopsis leaf cells. Shown are photographs of transverse sections from a rot3-2 (left) or wild-type internode (right). rot3-2 mutants show a marked increase in the internode diameter as compared to wild-type plants. The background shows a longitudinal section of internode from a rot3-2 plant, which has short and irregularly shaped pith cells as compared to wild type. (For details, see Kim et al., p. 2381.)
