tam-1 effects on a repetitive transgene in C. elegans. Shown here is a fluorescence analysis of wild-type (top) and tam-1 (bottom) animals that contain an integrated myo3::gfp transgene expressed uniformly in all body-wall muscles. In tam-1 animals, the green fluorescent protein (GFP) expression is markedly reduced, as compared to wild type. (For details, see Hsieh et al., p. 2958).
