Mix family proteins regulate endoderm formation in zebrafish. Shown here is an animal pole view of wild-type zebrafish embryos at 50% epiboly and stained for bonnie and clyde (bon) mRNA expression. bon is expressed in all cells of the blastoderm margin. bon encodes a novel member of the Mix family of homeodomain proteins.
