Engulfment of apoptotic cells by macrophages. Shown here is a thymic section from an ICAD-Sdm transgenic mouse treated with gamma -irradiation. Following irradiation, sections were stained for TUNEL (green) and the macrophage-specific F4/80 antigen (red).
