Large scale analysis of protein localization in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Shown here is an immunofluorescence analysis of yeast cells using antibodies directed against an epitope-tagged allele of the nucleoskeletal/nuclear pore protein Nsp1p (red), where the DNA is stained with DAPI. Using high-throughput immunofluorescence analysis of epitope-tagged proteins, over 2700 gene products have been localized in the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. (For details, see Kumar et al., p. 707.)
