About the Cover

Cover Figure

FGF10 is required for the differentiation of preadipocyte cells into white adipocytes. Shown here is an in situ hybridization analysis of FGF10 mRNA expression in embryonic mouse white adipose tissue (WAT), using a 35S-labeled FGF10 antisense RNA probe (white). The section was counterstained with hematoxylin and eosin. FGF10 mRNA is detected at embryonic day 16.5 in the WAT and its expression increases thereafter. (For details, see Sakaue et al., p. 908.)
