Cover Chromosomal rearrangements accumulate spontaneously in tBrca1^-/-Chk2^-/- mice. Shown here is a metaphase spread from cultured peripheral T cells. Chromosomal DNA was stained with DAPI (blue) and gross chromosomal rearrangements were detected. Frequency of chromosomal breaks, fusions, triradial-like structures, and aneuploidy was markedly increased in tBrca1^-/-Chk2^-/- peripheral T cells indicative of impaired DNA-damage response and predisposition to cancer.
