Cover Colocalization of GFP-SpoIIQ (green) and SpoIIIAH-Flag (pink) at discrete stages of engulfment (membranes shown in blue) during spore formation in Bacillus subtilis. During membrane migration (cell on left and right), the extracellular C termini of GFP-SpoIIQ in the forespore and SpoIIIAH-Flag in the mother cell colocalize. After the completion of engulfment (center, green/blue), SpoIIIAH-Flag remains membrane-associated as GFP-SpoIIQ is degraded.
