Cover The transmembrane-type semaphorin, Sema6D, plays critical roles in cardiac morphogenesis through its receptor, Plexin-A1. Shown here is an in situ hybridization for Sema6D in the E10.5 mouse embryo. Sema6D mRNA is expressed in the dorsal side of the neural fold and in the cardiac tube, including the atrio-ventricular segment and ventricle. (For details, see Toyofuku et al., p.435.)
