Cover Rnf6, a RING finger ubiquitin ligase, mediates polyubiquitination of LIM kinase 1 (LIMK1) to regulate axonal outgrowth. Shown here is an immunofluorescence analysis of primary hippocampal neurons expressing Myc-Rnf6 and GFP-LIMK1 expression plasmids. After 24 h the cells were stained with antibodies directed against the Myc-epitope (red) and the axonal marker protein Tau (blue); GFP signals are shown in green.
