Cover A large-scale reverse genetic screen reveals that Saccaromyces cerevisiae displays a rich spectrum of complex haploinsufficiencies. Shown here is a depiction of overlapping complex haploinsufficiency (CHI) interaction networks for yeast actin alanine-scanning alleles act1-102 (green), act1-105 (blue), act1-111 (red), act1-120 (yellow), act1-124 (orange), and act1-129 (purple), drawn with the program Osprey. The CHI networks are superimposed over a RASMOL-generated depiction of a yeast actin monomer with amino acids affected in the above alleles colored as indicated (note that amino acids corresponding to the act1-129 allele reside on the backside of actin as shown).
