Yes, you will need a password and user name to access Genes & Development online. After you have completed the subscription process, you will receive a user name and a password. However, you are the only one licensed to use this password; it may not be shared with others.
We have instructions for what to do if you forget your user name or your password. Details about how to do this will be included as part of the subscription process.
If your institution has a print subscription, it will be eligible to have an electronic version of the journal as well. In so doing, you will automatically have access to the tables of contents, abstracts, full-text searching, full text display, PDFs, Medline and GenBank links, and future tables of contents. You will also see a button at the top of the page confirming you are signed in as part of an institution.
If your institution does not have a print subscription, it cannot get an electronic version. If you would like to have an institutional subscription, please contact your local librarian.
Yes, individuals and institutions will continue to be able to receive the print version for the foreseeable future. At a later date, however, the paper and electronic versions may be available as separate subscriptions.
Individual subscriptions are available to all individuals, providing them with a print and electronic version of the journal.
